“Being a lifelong Mississippi resident, I have had the opportunity to care for the people of Mississippi from medical school, residency, and my professional career. This is a unique state that allows for close relationships from North Mississippi to the Coast. I have been fortunate to have many role models in surgery, most importantly, my father, who taught me early in my training the importance of letting my patients know that I genuinely care for them and that I will try to do all I can to help them with their situation. It will be my privilege to be your surgeon when you need me.”

Advancing surgical technique for a better recovery.

“As with most areas in medicine, surgery is becoming more technically advanced. Procedures that used to require a hospital stay are now done on an outpatient basis. Less invasive techniques, such as laparoscopy and robotics, allow for less postoperative pain and quicker recovery. My goal is to use these techniques to make your postoperative time less difficult so that you can focus on getting back to what’s important to you.”

Dr. Hamilton lives in the Jackson area with his wife and 2 children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and going to sporting events.
