Courtney C. Wright, PA-C


Courtney C. Wright, PA-C is a Physician Assistant for Lee M. Nicols, MD, FACS, at Central Surgical Associates. Courtney and Dr. Nicols work closely together to provide quality surgical care. She received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Millsaps College. She earned a Master of Medical Science from Mississippi College and then completed her Master of Science in Medicine from the Mississippi College Physician Assistant program in 2013. She is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Mississippi Academy of Physician Assistants. Courtney has a particular interest in wound care and works in the Baptist Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic. She also has an interest in women’s health and along with Dr. Nicols works to provide treatment options for fecal incontinence. She serves as a preceptor for the Physician Assistant students and is a guest lecturer for the Mississippi College Physician Assistant program. Courtney received the Alumnus of the Year 2017 and the Preceptor of the Year 2017 from the Mississippi College P.A. Program. Courtney was inducted into Pi Alpha National Honor Society in 2018. She is very involved in the Junior League of Jackson and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. “I enjoy surgery and wound care because it is hands on, always offering unique challenges, and leads to rewarding experiences. As a Physician Assistant, I am able to participate in the technical aspects of surgery and provide compassionate care encompassing a team approach.”
